HRSA awards nearly $90 million for addiction, recovery services in rural areas 

The Health Resources and Services Administration announced Sept. 25 that it awarded $89.3 million in grants to expand access to substance use disorder prevention, treatment and recovery services in rural communities nationwide. The grants were awarded through HRSA’s Rural Communities Opioid Response Program, focusing on locally-driven solutions to SUDs. The funds will address RCORP SUD treatment and recovery services, overdose response, technical assistance and planning efforts.
